Job Description : A client in the Columbia, SC area is seeking to hire a Process Engineer for one of its manufacturing facilities. This role involves ensuring the efficiency and quality of polymerization processes. The Process Engineer will focus on optimizing run times and machine modifications, managing predictive maintenance (such as emergency leaks), and ensuring that operating procedures meet specifications, rewriting them as necessary. Effective communication with the facility and leadership is crucial. The individual must take initiative and consider the implications of process changes. They will collaborate with operators and production teams to ensure alignment with safety, quality, and other departmental standards. Reporting results to leadership on a weekly and quarterly basis is expected.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a proactive attitude.
- Hands-on experience with polymerization or a solid theoretical understanding from academic studies.
- Focus on process improvement and the ability to write operating procedures.
