We are looking for a seasoned Construction Purchasing Manager to support our Operations Team. This role will be responsible for leading a team of purchasing agents and estimators to develop project budgets that align with company timelines and cost objectives.
The selected candidate will have expertise in vendor contract management, labor rate negotiations, and purchasing strategy execution. Key responsibilities include overseeing vendor contracts, negotiating labor rates and unit pricing, and executing purchasing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee vendor contracts and negotiate labor rates and unit pricing
- Execute purchasing strategies to meet project budgets and timelines
- Lead a team of purchasing agents and estimators to develop project budgets
- Track and report key functional metrics to optimize costs and efficiency
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in a similar role within residential construction (preferably with a production single-family homebuilder)
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field
- In-depth knowledge of the homebuilding construction process and strong relationships with local trades
