Salary: $75,000 - $85,000
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering Or Computer Engineering preferred)
- 1-3 years of experience programming, designing, developing, & maintaining controls systems
- Experience working with Servo Controls/Motors, actuators, & rotating/linear sensors
Nice to have:
- Ability to program in multiple languages and learn as needed (strong foundation in text-based coding preferred)
- Familiarity with NI LabVIEW
- Experience in common industrial communications protocols (ex. CANOpen, EtherCAT, ProfiBUS, serial, etc.)
- Experience reading electrical design documents
- Experience using version control systems and code testing
- Experience developing & testing various hardware/firmware for optimal motor speed and performance
Day-to-Day:
A client of Insight Global is looking for an Electronic Controls Engineer to join their collaborative team onsite in Chattanooga, TN. This individual's primary responsibility will be refining and designing control systems, as well as maintaining existing field installations through troubleshooting. Additionally, in this role you will be specifying, developing, and testing new platforms of hardware and firmware to meet and exceed demands for speed and overall performance. Other responsibilities could include creating contingency plans for electronic product life cycle, providing guidance to external groups, and participating in continuous improvement and R&D projects.
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
