What are the responsibilities and job description for the Distribution Engineer position at Insight Global?
Job Summary:
- Inspects microgrid system sites including safety related controls, state of equipment and operations readiness, identification of equipment, operation readiness.
- Identifies problem areas, potential risks, gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Composes and presents audit reports containing the results of the site audit (findings and recommendations).
- Recommends improvements to the existing internal standards.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Engineering background, preferably electrical engineering or oil and gas.
- Experience in performing operations site audits in the energy and/or utilities industry.
- Understanding of electrical systems functionality and associated critical equipment (generators, switchgear, switchboards, transformers).
- Expertise in the energy and utilities industry standards for operations, health, safety and environmental compliance.
- Ability to correctly conduct in-field energy assessments.
Salary : $45 - $55
