Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelors/Associates Degree in Electrical Field, Electrician License or Equivalent Work Experience
- 3 years of experience in electrical engineering/design
o Electrical circuiting of power and lighting systems
o Layout of fire alarm systems
o Basic understanding of one-line and riser diagrams
- 2 years of experience with 3D modeling in Revit
o Familiar with Navisworks
- MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) background - Basic understanding of electrical systems and construction practices

Job Description:
An industry-leading Design/Build Electrical Contracting client is looking for a Junior Electrical Engineering Designer to join their team based out of Plaistow, NH. This client has been in business for over 50 years, has almost 300 employees, and primarily supports the Life Science, Healthcare, Commercial, and Industrial markets. They are a family-owned business and has grown into a multi-million-dollar organization. Through hard work and determination, they’ve become the largest service department in New England and the only contracting company that supports every wiring category within a commercial/industrial building space.
As a Junior Electrical Engineering Designer, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality construction documents from the Engineering Department to the field. The Engineer/Designer will work closely with senior staff to generate a wide range of documentation, including electrical construction documents, pre-fabrication drawings, detailed sketches, and other construction control documentation. The Engineer/Designer will also participate in various construction coordination processes, including 3D modeling (BIM), clash detection between trades, and generating coordination drawings for submittal. Expected duties to include site visits to survey existing systems and meet with customers and vendors.
This is a fully onsite role in Plaistow, NH and will begin as a 6 month contract with full intentions to hire as a permanent employee upon successful completion of contract period. Converting salary can range from $75-110k. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
