Substation Engineer Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Engineer to join our team in Spring Valley, NY.
This role offers diverse project management experiences and involves designing and applying utility-grade substation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and apply substation systems
- Support various operations groups and committees
- Represent the company at industry meetings
- Lay out designs, review drawings, and specify equipment
- Prepare design sketches, cost estimates, and reports
- Perform calculations and support construction projects
- Attend meetings and stay updated on industry standards
- Participate in the Emergency Response Plan
Requirements:
- BSEE with 3-5 years of experience in substation engineering or related operations
- Hybrid role combining Project Management and Lead responsibilities across all engineering disciplines
- Proven ability to lead team meetings and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Utility experience is required
- High voltage experience up to 220 KV is required
