Position: Interior Designer/Architect
Location: Chicago, IL 60606 (hybrid, onsite 3 days a week)
Salary: $110k-$125k
Duration: 6-month contract to hire
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and/or Architecture
- 5 years of relevant experience within commercial interior design.
- Experience in facility design, space planning and programming, development of standards, and documentation
- Proficiency in creating and delivering design presentations, with strong collaboration, problem solving, and clear communication skills
- Knowledge of construction codes and accessibility regulations
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Microsoft Suite
Pluses
- NCIDQ certification preferred
- Airport Experience
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement space planning, programming, and utilization space calculations for
- United-owned or managed facilities across its network.
- Collaborate with internal and external consultants to develop strategically focused design plans for various project types, including enhancements to operational support areas, public-facing spaces, and the implementation of new initiatives.
- Review and provide feedback on architectural and engineering plans submitted by external
- designers and consultants to ensure alignment with project requirements, industry standards, and design intent.
- Collaborate with United’s Corporate Real Estate project managers to develop and deliver
- conceptual design plans and supporting documentation for executive and financial review and approval.
- Lead the development and improvement of guidelines in collaboration with the design team, including FF&E, material selection and application, and furniture layout.
- Provide design expertise for new and evolving initiatives
Salary : $110,000 - $125,000
