Job Description

Responsibilities :

Develop and execute unit tests for React, node applications using unit testing tools like Jest, React Testing Library, vite.

Write and maintain integration tests to validate API connections and business logic.

Collaborate with developers to implement test-driven development (TDD) and ensure code quality.

Create reusable test frameworks and utilities to streamline automated testing.

Integrate testing pipelines with CI / CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

Debug issues identified during testing and provide solutions to optimize performance.

Ensure high code coverage and maintain test documentation.

Perform code reviews and contribute to improving testing practices across the team.

Monitor and report test results, ensuring that defects are documented and tracked effectively.

Mandatory Skills Required

Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., TypeScript, JavaScript).

Experience with testing tools Jest, React Test Library , Cypress / Playwright and Gherkin (BDD)

Knowledge of software testing methodologies (e.g., Unit Testing, white-box, regression test and performance testing).

Knowledge on test management tools like qTest, Test Rail and project management tool Jira

Familiarity with CI / CD tools (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins).

Understanding of Agile and DevOps principles.

Skills and Requirements

Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript and front-end testing frameworks and tools like :

o Jest

o React Testing Library

o Vite

Hands-on experience with automation testing tools Cypress or Playwright for end-to-end (E2E) testing.

Familiarity with mocking libraries (e.g., Sinon.js, Mock Service Worker (MSW)).

Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or Rest Assured.

Experience with version control systems GitLab

Ability to work with CI / CD tools for test automation integration.

Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Experience in Agile / Scrum methodologies.
