Piping Engineering Supervisor Job Description
The Piping Engineering Supervisor will oversee a team of piping designers and checkers, responsible for creating and checking 3D and 2D designs in AutoCad, ShipConstructor, and Navis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage design specifications of piping systems to ensure NAVSEA compliance
- Oversee the creation and checking of piping diagrams and designs
- Ensure that designs meet Navy specs and are approved for the build process
Requirements:
- Strong background in the maritime shipbuilding industry
- Experience managing a piping team as a prime on a Navy contract
- Proficiency with 2D and 3D AutoCAD, MS Office, and MS Excel
- 15 years of experience with piping design or checking designs on Navy ships
- 10 years of piping management experience, including managing remote designers/checkers
- Ability to scope out tasks and meet deadlines provided by NAVSEA
Skills:
- AutoCAD 2D and 3D piping designing and checking
- Pipe routing experience in AutoCAD 2D and 3D on Navy ships
- ShipConstructor and Navis experience within the piping concentration
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering concentration
