This Piping Engineering Supervisor role involves leading a remote team of piping designers and checkers hired by Insight Global. The supervisor will oversee the entire design and checking process for piping systems, ensuring compliance with Navy specifications and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scope out work, create, and manage team schedules
- Stay on time with piping deadlines as provided by NAVSEA
- Lead the design and checking process for piping systems
- Manage design specs of piping systems in 3D and 2D AutoCad, ShipConstructor, and Navis
Requirements:
- Strong background in the maritime shipbuilding industry
- 15 years of experience with piping design or checking designs on Navy ships
- 10 years of piping management experience, including managing remote designers/checkers
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D AutoCAD, MS Office, and MS Excel
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering concentration
Preferred Skills:
- Pipe routing experience in AutoCAD 2D and 3D on Navy ships
- ShipConstructor and Navis experience within the piping concentration
