What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Operator position at Insight Global?
Insight Global is seeking Production Operator to help around the site with various ad hoc tasks and will be training to take on more operational roles. In an assigned manufacturing area, this person will follow defined Workstation Procedures to manufacturer, inspect, package and ship master alloys, metal powders, sintered materials, induction melted products and other similar materials. Observe all applicable safety practices/procedures and operate 100% in compliance with the Company Quality System. Maintain all documents, records and files to support Manufacturing activities.
6 Month Contract to Hire
Location: Robesonia, PA 19551
Shift: 2nd shift is 1:45 PM – 10 PM. This person will work every other weekend.
Note: the first 1-2 months of training will be 1st shift.
Onboarding requirements include: background check, drug screening, and a physical.
Responsibilities include:
*Ability to write simple programs for short run parts using sketches, blueprints or shop drawings, or with supervisory approval, edit existing programs to expedite jobs and improve work quality
*Calculate and layout reference points, angles, and other dimensions from sketches, blueprints, or shop drawings using shop mathematics, including geometry and trigonometry
*Plan operational sequences, determine method of holding work, and select parts required in conformance with exact tolerances as dictated by drawings, sketches, or other authorizing documents
Position Requirements
-High School or Graduate Equivalency Diploma (GED)
-Experience in a manufacturing environment.
-The demonstrated ability to perform effectively as a member of a work team and to work individually to accomplish assigned tasks.
Compensation:
Starting pay is at $24/hr
