JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is seeking a skilled and licensed Construction Surveyor to join our dynamic team. This role requires a seasoned professional with strong technical expertise in surveying, construction layout, and project management to ensure the successful completion of various construction projects. As a key player, you will manage field crews, coordinate multiple projects, and ensure high standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Coordination: Oversee multiple surveying projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and project objectives.
• Field Crew Management: Lead, schedule, train, and provide logistical support to field crews, maintaining a close working relationship to resolve issues and achieve project goals.
• Survey Data Processing: Process raw field data to generate topographic contours, staking base files, road alignments, foundation surveys, and other deliverables.
• Equipment and Vehicle Management: Maintain an updated inventory of field vehicles and equipment, overseeing their maintenance and repair to ensure operational efficiency.
• Problem Solving: Provide technical expertise and guidance in solving complex fieldwork challenges related to surveying and mapping projects.
• Communication and Collaboration: Attend required meetings and effectively communicate project progress, needs, and challenges with internal and external stakeholders.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Required Qualifications:
• Professional Licensure: Must be a licensed surveyor in any state. Assistance for NC licensure will be provided.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of construction-related survey computations and staking plans, including erosion control, utility layout, grading, storm drainage, and building layout for highways, commercial sites, and subdivisions.
• Surveying Experience: Extensive experience with robotic total stations, electronic data collectors, and software such as AutoCAD, Carlson, GIS mapping, and MS Office Suite.
• Mapping Proficiency: Experience preparing topographic, boundary, ALTA/ACSM surveys, plats, change of zone maps, and easement exhibits.
• Leadership Skills: Ability to supervise and mentor technicians and field crews on survey and mapping projects.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively manage teams and coordinate with various stakeholders.
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
