What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineer position at Insight Global?
Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer with an electrical background that will play a key role in overseeing and maintaining the company's quality management systems and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in quality management and possess proven leadership abilities, overseeing quality assurance efforts within an aerospace manufacturing environment. Ensuring that all work adheres to relevant safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality management systems such as AS9100 or ISO 9001. This individual will report directly to the Senior Director of Quality and will be need to have the ability to work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues and ensure that products meet specifications and customer expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Experience in managing and reviewing technical documentation, including test reports, quality audits, inspection reports, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
- High level of attention to detail and strong focus on process excellence Experience in troubleshooting electrical failures and performing root cause analysis to determine failure modes and implement corrective actions.
- Proficient in statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and failure mode effects analysis (FEMA)
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills with hands on approach to addressing quality issues
- Experience with quality management software, CAD systems, and testing tools commonly used in the military and aerospace industries (e.g., PLM, ERP systems, or CAM tools).
- Strong understanding of aerospace industry financial practices and government contracting
- Familiarity with the design, manufacture, and testing of wire and cable assemblies, including connectors, terminations, and harnesses used in aerospace and military applications.
- Experience with government contracting and compliance (FAR, CAS, DFARS, etc.)
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
