Fully Remote Database Management Specialist

This project is helping tribal communities to organize patient health information among native American populations

Required Skills & Experience

Database Administration :

  • Proficiency in administering relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Experience in database installation, configuration, performance tuning, and backup and recovery procedures.
  • Understanding of database security best practices and threat mitigation techniques.

SQL Expertise :

  • Strong SQL skills, including writing complex queries, optimizing query performance, and working with stored procedures and functions.
  • Ability to use SQL to extract, transform, and load data into data warehouses or data marts. Data Modeling and Design :
  • Knowledge of data modeling techniques (entity-relationship diagrams, data flow diagrams) to design efficient database schemas.
  • Ability to normalize data and optimize database performance.
  • Understanding of data warehousing and data lake concepts.

    • Data Integration and ETL :

  • Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools to integrate data from various sources.
  • Ability to use data integration tools like Informatica, Talend, or Apache Airflow to automate data pipelines.

The Senior Database Management Specialist performs testing and quality control checks

    This is a 6-month contract to hire role with benefits provided and weekly pay. Range is $36-38 hourly
