Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, project management, or business administration
- 5 years of experience in scheduling large projects in the construction industry
- Proficient in gathering, maintaining, reporting, and analyzing schedule data
- Experience scheduling $25-50 Million projects – general construction, electrical construction, manufacturing construction, technology or infrastructure industries
- Experience using P6, Microsoft Project and/or BlueBeam
- Valid drivers license and willing to travel to project locations
Day to Day:
Insight Global is looking for a Scheduler in various locations to help support the goals and objectives of the business and their clients. The scheduler will be collaborating with construction and engineering teams to develop comprehensive project schedules. They will be creating and updating schedules at different milestones, as deliverables are completed, and as scopes of work are added. The scheduler will be responsible for providing regular updates to team member on progress and completion of projects. You will be collaborating with several different stakeholders to plan and schedule projects, lead and engage with the project teams, manage resources and risks, communicating updates, monitoring performance, ensuring quality, and seeking process improvements.
Other Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with the preconstruction manager, project managers, engineers, superintendents, contractors, and other project services staff to provide comprehensive planning and scheduling from conceptual planning through engineering and construction.
Resource Management: Achieve both short-term and long-term project objectives by creating and managing schedule logic, constraints, realistic activity durations, and resource availability. Evaluate the impact of design changes and schedule delays, and communicate updates to company management and clients.
Risk Management: Assess the effects of design changes and schedule delays, and ensure all schedule updates are communicated to company management and clients.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage in challenging discussions with the entire project team, including the Owner, General Contractor, AE, Subcontractors, and Suppliers. Interact with clients, attend regular meetings, and present statistical reports.
Performance Monitoring: Track project progress through metrics and reporting, adjusting plans as necessary to meet changing requirements or challenges.
Quality Assurance: Integrate detailed fragments and make necessary sequencing adjustments to ensure quality.
Innovation and Improvement: Continuously seek ways to optimize processes and improve project outcomes through innovative technologies or methodologies.
