We are seeking a highly skilled Drafter to join our client's shipbuilding team in Marinette, Wisconsin. As a Drafter, you will be responsible for creating 2D and 3D models of ship structures using AutoCAD and Ship Constructor software.
Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Drafter to join our client's shipbuilding team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in AutoCAD, 2D design, and 3D design for foundations/structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D and 3D models of ship structures using AutoCAD and Ship Constructor software
- Extract 2D drawings from 3D models for manufacturing purposes
- Assist with drawing revisions and updates
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects
Requirements
- Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience in a relevant industry or 10 years of experience in a related field
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, 2D design, and 3D design for foundations/structures
- Experience using Navis, MS Excel, and Bluebeam/Power PDF
- Strong understanding of shipbuilding and ship-work concepts
