Job Description:
The Piping Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for managing a remote group of piping designers and checkers. This individual will oversee the scoping of work, creation of team schedules, and adherence to piping deadlines set by NAVSEA.
The supervisor will lead the design and checking process, ensuring that piping diagrams and designs meet Navy Specs. This includes working with 3D and 2D AutoCad, as well as ShipConstructor.
The supervisor will also be responsible for managing design specs of piping systems and ensuring they are compliant with NAVSEA regulations in Navis, ShipConstructor, and AutoCad.
Drawing reviews will be conducted by Senior 3D Checkers to ensure drawings meet Navy Specs, which will then be approved for the build process.
The entire process will be overseen by the Piping Engineering Supervisor, requiring strong leadership and management skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 15 years of experience with piping design or checking on Navy ships.
- 10 years of experience in piping management, including managing remote designers/checkers.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D AutoCAD, MS Office, and MS Excel.
- Able to scope out dates and meet deadlines provided by NAVSEA.
- Experience with pipe routing in AutoCAD 2D and 3D on Navy ships.
- Familiarity with ShipConstructor and Navis within the piping concentration.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering concentration.
