Position: Site Supervisor
Location: Tampa, FL
Duration: 12-month contract-to-hire
Job Description: Our client is seeking a Site Supervisor with an electrical background to help facilitate and oversee a large smart meter install project on a base in Tampa, FL. This project is set to last 11-12 months, after which the ideal candidate will be willing to move to the next project site out of state.
Day to Day:
- Supervises the field construction process of assigned projects in accordance with the plans and specifications, to ensure that each phase of the work is completed on schedule, within the budget, and with the quality workmanship expected by the company and the customer
- Supervises, inspects, reviews, records and reports on all site construction related activity ensuring that the assigned subcontractors perform their work on schedule. May supervise one or more projects at the same time.
- Understand and develop means and methods for the construction/installation requirements of the particular project (in conjunction with Project Manager).
- Supervise and coordinate activities of all employees and subcontractors.
- Assist with quality control functions per contract (COE) requirements (submittal reviews, daily reports, preparatory meetings and other quality control program features) to ensure project document controls are in compliance with contract requirements.
- Enforce, facilitate and follow Company and contract safety requirements. Assist with SSHO functions per company standard practices and per contract (COE) requirement if required per the position.
- Schedule and plan work tasks, monitor progress of work with schedule updates (in conjunction with Project Manager)
- Prepare forecasts (in conjunction with Project Manager)
- Coordinate inspections, verifications, tests, and other contractual requirements with client.
- Participate in regular project/site meetings with subcontractors, architects, engineers, client representatives and other groups.
- Direct and coordinate subcontractor activities.
- Is the primary management team member on the site on a day-to-day basis to identify and correct issues or deficiencies and/or escalate issues and deficiencies up the management chain to Project Manager and/or regional management.
- Conducts self study (reading, research and practice) to improve and maintain technical proficiency in company's product lines. Completes certifications as required by the company.
Qualifications:
- Five (5) or more years of project coordination and supervision of construction projects in the commercial and/or industrial building construction industry.
- Electrical knowledge (former electrician or someone who has overseen electrical projects)
- Excellent interpersonal skills for employee supervision and client interface.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic Windows environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearances at level required for assigned projects - will be processed for a flight line badge for this role
- Active OSHA-30 and CPR/First Aid certs or the ability to acquire quickly with JCFS support
Plusses:
- Experience working with Federal and/or State government projects
- Any experience with metering or utility work is preferred
- Somebody willing to move to a new project/state upon completion
Compensation: $39/hr to $42/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
