Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced school bus driver to join our team as a Student Transportation Professional. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, special events, and field trips.
Estimated Salary: $23 per hour
About the Job
Your primary responsibilities will include driving a school bus over designated routes in accordance with specified time schedules and regulations. You will transport students under varying weather conditions, maintain order and discipline among students on the bus, and report incidents that affect student safety. Additionally, you will perform daily vehicle inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure the bus remains in safe operating condition.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience driving within the KY public school system
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate
- Valid Kentucky Commercial Class B drivers license, including passenger endorsement
- School Bus Certification by State Transportation Department
- Passing physical examination each school year
- Passing driving record check
