Daily Responsibilities:
Insight Global is currently seeking a Transmission Line Design Engineer for a permanent full-time opportunity in the Lexington, KY area. This individual must have a civil or electrical engineering degree from an ABET accredited program. This individual will be responsible for designing using line performance, safety code, and RUS data, reviewing designs from other engineers, and preparing material specifications for ordering all structures, conductor, and associated hardware for the project. Primary responsibilities will be designing new or special types of transmission and substation structures and foundations and preparing one line and phasing diagrams for transmission line projects and help determine proper phasing for interconnecting transmission lines and substations. Additional responsibilities will be maintaining awareness of all relevant RUS procedures, specifications, NEMA, NEC, NESC, ANSI, IEEE, etc., and applicable standards, preparing construction specifications and contracts, and leading teams in the sitting process for transmission lines.
***Compensation: 115k to 184k
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
Salary : $115,000 - $184,000
