Job description
*We are looking for a Certified Applicator in Structural Pest Control licensed with the Montana Department of Agriculture.
Job Purpose This position requires overseeing all operations at the branch level. The service manager is responsible for creating a highly functioning team of employees so that the branch successfully meets and exceeds budgeted goals in sales, service, and customer satisfaction. The Service Manager directs all activities of the branch to continually serve the customers within the company’s target market in an extraordinary manner to ensure that the company’s brand and reputation continue to flourish. The service manager invests time and resources in personnel development and growing the local branch.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Management
- Oversee and inspect route performance completed by employees daily to ensure it meets company standards.
- Supervise branch employees and oversee hiring, discipline, training, promotions, and scheduling.
- Manage the operation and administration of the branch.
- Work to establish relationships with customers, increase sales, and resolve any customer complaints.
- Direct the activities of the branch service department to ensure that all customers are serviced in a proper and timely manner.
- Personally take over responsibility of servicing a route in case of the lack of sufficient pest control technicians or as other needs arise.
- Maintain current awareness of number of customers remaining to be serviced in the month.
- Identifies operational deficiencies and implements plans for improvement.
- Comply with all state and federal regulations.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Conduct product inventory and issuance procedures and maintain good inventory levels in cage.
- Oversee and ensure proper maintenance of all equipment and vehicles.
- Oversee inside sales program.
- Be a resource to other service managers that they can reach out to for help.
Training
- Provide continuous weekly up-to-date training of branch service and sales personnel.
- Works closely with branch employees to ensure that quality timely work is delivered to every customer.

- Personally inspect jobs during “Ride Alongs” to assess progress and ensure compliance with company, regulatory and safety standards.
- Ensure that new hire and ongoing training takes place in compliance with government and company guidelines.
Financials
- Monitor branch financial performance, set business objectives, maintain and monitor branch budget and implement sales strategies to meet targets and control expenses.
This position manages all employees within the branch and is responsible for leadership of the employees. Performs any other duties as assigned by supervisor (Owner Operator).

Qualifications
Due to the nature of this position it will be imperative certain qualifications are met to attract new business and retain current clientele. Qualifications include:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- One-year certificate from a college or technical school and/or 1 years of related experience
- Clean Driving Record
- Pass a Drug Test
- Pass a Background check
- Appropriate state certifications pertaining to pest control industry
- Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license
Preferred Education and Experience:
Associate Degree or at least two yours of work experience in the pest control industry.
Working Conditions
Working conditions may alter depending on the vast and varied task(s) assigned. In general, individuals filling this position will work half inside an office environment and half in the field.This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Individuals must have the ability to work with exemplary attendance. Work schedule may vary based upon a mutual arrangement between an employee and supervisor.
Physical Requirements
Service Managers should be prepared to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50lbs. They may be required to crawl in confined spaces for inspections and treatment. Work days can be exhausting due to exposure to the elements combined with the physical demands of a route.
This position may require sitting for extended periods of time while working in an office setting or driving a company vehicle while running a route.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
