We are seeking a Financial Controller to play a crucial role in the financial operations of a successful and growing company in the agriculture industry . This is a newly created position designed to support the CFO in overseeing financial management across 20 companies . Core Responsibilities :
Support the CFO by managing various financial tasks, including payroll, bank reconciliations, asset reconciliation (cattle, feed, etc.), and overseeing accounting for smaller companies .
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and contribute to the company’s ongoing growth.
Work with leadership to ensure smooth financial operations as the company scales.
Help optimize financial systems, with NetSuite or ERP experience being a plus .
What We’re Looking For :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2 years of financial management experience (corporate finance, multi-entity experience a plus).
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks preferred) and advanced Excel skills .
Ability to work autonomously while collaborating closely with leadership.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Experience in agriculture or tax accounting is a bonus but not required.
