What are the responsibilities and job description for the Configuration Functional Lead position at INSIGHT TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS LLC?
Insight Technology Solutions is currently seeking a highly skilled Configuration Functional Lead (CFL) to provide leadership and technical oversight for Configuration Data Maintenance Manager (CDMM) personnel supporting Maintenance Standards (MS) development and sustainment within the Fleet Logistics System (FLS) for Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC) stages I and II. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate and standardized configuration and maintenance data that supports operational readiness and lifecycle support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee CDMM personnel responsible for the development and maintenance of Maintenance Standards (MS) in FLS for OPC Stage I and II in accordance with the USCG statement of work (SOW).
- Manage the enrollment of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) — including Navy Type Navy Owned (NTNO), Navy Type Coast Guard Owned (NTCGO), and Coast Guard Type (CGT) — Maintenance Requirement Cards into FLS as MS.
- Collaborate closely with the Surface Acquisition Logistics Center (SALC) Configuration Team to ensure Configuration Items (CI) and Configuration Item Functional Descriptions (CIFD) are accurate for proper CI and MS development.
- Coordinate with the client to verify that Maintenance Standards align with Maintenance Procedure Cards (MPC), ensuring a high-quality deliverable.
- Contribute to the development, standardization, and improvement of configuration management processes in alignment with U.S. Coast Guard policy across both SALC and Surface Force Logistics Center (SFLC).
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in configuration management and logistics support, preferably within DoD, DHS, or USCG programs.
- Possess Configuration Data Manager (CDM) and Configuration Data Maintenance Manager (CDMM) certifications.
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a technical or logistics environment.
- Familiarity with the Fleet Logistics System (FLS) and U.S. Coast Guard configuration management policy.
- Strong understanding of maintenance documentation and processes (e.g., MS, MPC, MRC).
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills across functional and organizational boundaries.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with GFE (NTNO, NTCGO, and CGT) equipment classifications.
- Knowledge of SALC and SFLC operations and structure.
- Strong understanding of the planning, development, and implementation of the lifecycle management of marine machinery.
