Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and motivated HR Supervisor to lead and support daily operations within the Human Resources department. In this role, you will act as a senior-level HR professional while directly supervising an HR generalist, providing mentorship, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality HR services. Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Supervisor will also play a critical role in executing HR initiatives that align with organizational goals and promote a positive workplace culture.Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the performance of the HR generalist, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure timely completion of HR processes.
- Conduct regular check-ins with the HR generalist to review goals, provide feedback, and address any challenges.
- Serve as the first point of escalation for complex employee relations issues, offering guidance and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.
- Oversee and support the HR generalist in handling recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
- Collaborate with the HR manager to improve HR workflows and ensure efficient HR operations.
- Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR matters, fostering open communication and resolving workplace issues promptly.
- Lead investigations into employee complaints or grievances, escalating to the HR Manager as needed.
- Ensure the organization complies with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Assist in developing, updating, and enforcing HR policies and procedures.
- Partner with the HR Manager to assess training needs and coordinate professional development initiatives.
- Mentor and train the HR generalist in HR best practices and company policies.
- HR Data Management & Reporting:
- Maintain and analyze HR metrics to identify trends, provide insights, and inform strategic decisions.
- Supervise the accuracy and confidentiality of HR records maintained by the HR Generalist.
- Support the administration of benefits and compensation programs, guiding the HR generalist in addressing employee inquiries.
- Assist in annual salary reviews and benefits enrollment processes.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proven ability to manage, mentor, and motivate team members.
