Job Overview
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing respiratory care to patients with breathing difficulties or cardiopulmonary disorders. This position requires a strong understanding of respiratory therapy techniques and medical terminology.
Duties
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments to patients with various conditions
- Assist in airway management and ventilator support
- Collaborate with medical staff in a Level I Trauma Center to provide care for critically ill patients
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for patients in different settings such as clinics or hospitals
- Utilize knowledge of pulmonology and geriatrics to address specific patient needs
Experience
- Previous experience in respiratory therapy is required
- Familiarity with physiology and anatomy related to respiratory care
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments, especially in a Level I Trauma Center
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics
- Knowledge of OR procedures and protocols would be beneficial
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $51.90 - $55.88 per hour
