Position: Manager, People Operations - Full Time/Exempt

Job Summary:
The People Operations Manager will partner with the Sr. Director, People Operations and General Manager to oversee Human Resources (People Operations) for Insignia Events Services, focusing on employee lifecycle management. This position will partner with leadership to ensure the organization's talent needs are met, including recruiting, retention, and succession planning. The role is essential in cultivating a positive work environment while ensuring that HR services align with business objectives.
Primary Job Duties:
- Develop and implement creative recruitment strategies to attract a diverse range of both new and experienced talent, while providing a smooth and engaging candidate experience throughout the application and onboarding processes, ensuring they feel fully prepared and excited for their first day
- Manage the full cycle of new hire onboarding, including offer letters, background checks, training, I-9’s, E-Verify, and orientation, while ensuring a smooth offboarding process when necessary
- Ensure the timely and accurate processing of payroll including hourly timesheets, salaries, garnishments, etc.
- Develop, oversee, and report on incident management strategies, ensuring that incidents are addressed effectively, with clear reporting mechanisms in place to ensure compliance, improve processes, and maintain a safe work environment
- Offer guidance and support to employees, helping them navigate workplace processes and enhance their overall experience
- Foster positive employee relations by addressing inquiries and promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment
- Maintain HR Information System (HRIS) records, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting to support HR operations and decision-making
- Assist with content creation for People Ops Initiatives, such as the Insignia Management Academy, Student Leadership Program, and team member website portal
- Stay up to date on HR compliance and regulatory initiatives, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local laws and reporting requirements
- Oversee various leave of absence programs, including FMLA, workers' compensation, and parental leave, ensuring compliance and smooth transitions
- Drive initiatives surrounding team member engagement including The Insignia Way
- Available at major events to help answer any questions, concerns, or team member issues that may arise
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the ongoing success of the organization
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, human resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5 years of human resources management experience with a strong background in employee relations, compliance, performance management, payroll, employee relations, incident management, and talent development
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM CP/SCP, preferred
- Experience with UKG Pro preferred
- Available to work on event days including nights, weekends, and holidays (football games, concerts, etc.)
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for long periods of time (up to 10 hours in length)
- Self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively and propose creative solutions to HR challenges
- Experience in the events industry, preferred knowledge of how to operate within a customer-focused company and how to drive that mindset through the HR function with a hands-on approach
- Proven experience supporting and developing a healthy organizational culture where employees feel valued, engaged, and united toward common goals.
- Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and sensitivity to all HR Related matters and information
- Can communicate effectively with all individuals across the organization
- Accuracy and attention to detail required
- Must have a driver’s license
