Job Summary
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will oversee the recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding of the Parking Department and manage our non-for-profit (NPO) program. This role bridges HR operations with event execution, ensuring a streamlined and engaging experience for both paid team members and NPO groups.
- Manage the Parking Department talent acquisition process including intake meetings, job postings, sourcing candidates, candidate screenings, scheduling interviews, etc.
- Ensure a positive and seamless candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, maintaining regular communication with candidates and keeping them informed
- Manage new hire onboarding including offer letters, new hire paperwork, background checks, equipment requests, I-9's, E-Verify, orientation, training, etc.
- Monitor recruiting sites and boosted posts for new applicants to the Parking Department
- Act as the primary liaison for all 501(c)(3) NPO groups, managing contracts, training, and engagement.
- Expand and retain NPO volunteer base to support overall organizational objectives
- Oversee campus recruitment, job fair, and outreach programs
- Track, audit, and report on hiring, onboarding, and offboarding metrics weekly.
- Cultivate strong and productive relationships with hiring managers, candidates, and new hires
- Support and coach teams to meet IES standards for appearance, safety, and guest interactions
- Conduct "stay interviews" to improve retention and team experience
- Collaborate with the Parking Coordinator on staffing logistics and other initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
- 1 year of recruiting experience in high volume or large scale operations
- Background in events, entertainment, or nonprofit space preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and troubleshoot in a high pressure and fast-paced environment
- Experience within ABI payroll platform, preferred
- Must be creative, innovative, passionate, high-energy, and results oriented
- Flexibility with varying schedules including evenings, holidays, and weekends
- Ability to stand, sit, and exert well-paced mobility for long periods of time and lift 30lbs with or without accommodation
