About the Role
InSite Health is seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Counsel to lead our legal operations and help drive our mission of delivering transformative healthcare solutions. This pivotal role will provide legal guidance across a broad spectrum of areas, including healthcare regulations, corporate governance, data privacy, risk management, intellectual property, and compliance.
The Corporate Counsel will play a strategic role in shaping InSite Health’s legal framework, working cross-functionally with teams such as finance, operations, compliance, and human resources to ensure contractual and regulatory adherence at the local, state, and federal levels. This is an exceptional opportunity to define and execute legal strategies at a mission-driven healthcare technology company.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to InSite Health’s leadership team, offering proactive legal guidance on compliance, regulatory matters, and risk management.
- Oversee legal strategies for data governance, cybersecurity, and privacy, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, HITECH, and TEFCA.
- Lead the drafting, negotiation, and review of contracts, including vendor agreements, NDAs, and customer agreements.
- Coordinate with external counsel across various practice areas.
- Stay ahead of evolving healthcare regulations, addressing regulatory exposures and ensuring compliance in product development, marketing, and sales.
- Manage litigation and dispute resolution, engaging with external counsel when needed.
- Develop and implement compliance programs and policies, including employee training on privacy, data protection, and regulatory standards.
- Act as Privacy Officer, building and overseeing the company’s privacy compliance and intellectual property program.
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school and active membership in a U.S. State Bar.
- 3 years of legal experience, including healthcare regulatory expertise (e.g., HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute).
- Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex contracts and agreements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Expertise across corporate legal areas, including employment law, intellectual property, compliance, and corporate governance.
- Exceptional judgment and capacity to align legal solutions with InSite Health’s mission and values: integrity, curiosity, boldness, and persistence.
