MAJOR FUNCTION: Documents into billing system all bills generate for outpatient treatment programs. Responsible for billing and insurance verifications in the outpatient behavioral health department. Works in conjunction with the therapist and prescribers to provide accurate insurance information and service coverage. Works within the state standards and grant guidelines to provide appropriate billing for services.QUALIFICATION: Education Experience: •High School Diploma or equivalent required. •College Degree or Certification Preferred. •Minimum of 2 years of Insurance and billing experience required. •Experience in Behavioral Health billing preferred. Certification/Licensure: •N/A Knowledge Skills: •Strong organizational skills and time management. •Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. •Ability to work and problem solve independently. •Must have knowledge of all types of insurance. •Knowledge of current ICD and CPT codes required.?>
