MAJOR FUNCTION: Works with the CIO and Network/PC Manager to coordinate the installation, testing, optimization, documentation, upgrades, troubleshooting, and customer support of the hospital LAN and WAN services. Supports the hospital infrastructure. Installs and supports all mainframe and network-based server operating systems and users throughout the hospital and affiliated remote centers. Coordinates system patches on all servers. Researches, reviews and makes recommendations for alternative vendors and products with cost savings and efficiencies as the end result. QUALIFICATIONS:Education Experience: B.S. Computer Science required. 4 years of relevant work experience required. Certification/ Licensure: Protocol management: TCP/IP, SMTP, Vines IP, Netbeui. Client Operating System Support: Windows. Network Operating System Support: Windows Server 2003 or higher. Server Applications: Exchange, SQL, IIS, Exchange, SMS, Expose, Active Directory. Hardware: Servers, Cisco routers, switches and hubs.
