What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator Corporate Cash position at Inspire Brands?
Assist in performing the corporate cash accounting function including the weekly deadlines for deposits, monthly deadlines for recording cash to ledger, assisting with process improvement initiatives, and department goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collects and processes miscellaneous vendor checks for Company deposits.
- Processes weekly deposits for multiple brands and maintain multiple bank access.
- Creates a tracking system for all checks before and after being deposited.
- Contacts and networks with all Company personnel in obtaining proper ledger coding for processing weekly or multiple brand deposits.
- Works in conjunction with Treasury to maintain scanning equipment and bank access to all cash accounts and brands necessary to complete deposits.
- Maintain financial internal controls in performance of assigned processes to maintain accuracy and reliability of financial information to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Communicate with coworkers, highly visible levels of management, and other groups in a courteous and professional manner in order to achieve requested deadlines.
- Participate in special projects as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2- year degree in finance or accounting or office management
- 1-2 years office experience.
- Prior accounting experience or banking experience preferred
- Restaurant franchising or hospitality experience preferred but not required
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES:
- Team player who is detail oriented, with ability to plan work effectively, work independently with minimal supervision and minimal to no errors, meet the deadlines assigned, and make sound decisions.
- Ability to multi-task and shift priorities.
- Requires good communication, analytical and organizational skills.
- A desire to work with and communicate with management and a high level of personal confidence.
- Command of accounting principles and procedures necessary for maintaining proper company books and records to ensure accurate accounting in accordance with GAAP.
- Proficient in Microsoft EXCEL, word processing, and some database applications knowledge in a Windows PC environment.
