The Product Manager, Payment Solutions will be a member of a central team in the Commercial organization that works across all of the brands owned by Inspire Brands – Dunkin’, Buffalo Wild Wings, Arby’s, Sonic and Jimmy John’s. They will specialize in the management of an enterprise electronic payment infrastructure involving the integration of several in-store and digital systems. This person will either have or will build a detailed knowledge of the payments industry, including gift and credit card processing, emerging trends and compliance requirements. As a key resource in formulating the overall payments strategy across all brands, this person will work closely with dedicated brand technology teams and payment partners, such as Fiserv, FreedomPay, Verifone and Ingenico to design, deploy and maintain payment solutions for in-store and digital payments. This position, with a team of direct reports, will influence and direct activities of a team related to business initiatives and day-to-day operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide guidance to end-to-end payment solution development and integration for in-store technology, including selection of hardware devices.
  • Provide guidance to end-to-end payment solution development and integration for digital (web & mobile) technology.
  • Escalation point for issues arising in both test and production related to either hardware or software (log analysis).
  • Manage project roadmap and resources, facilitate trade-off discussions, enhance support, and follow corporate SDLC.
  • Effectively resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur, consistently following through on details while driving innovation as well as issue resolution.
  • Provides effective project control by monitoring progress and providing appropriate updates to senior management.
  • Plan, estimated, and oversee the progress of application and product development and implementations.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and technology trends.
  • Facilitate and inform line-of-business partners in the finalizing of business goals and objectives across payment channels and technology platforms.
  • Other important duties and responsibilities as needed.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum: 4 Year Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related
  • A minimum of 5-7 years, or more, of proven increasing responsibility and professional success, including experience successfully implementing payment technology; experience within a retail environment is a plus.

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, or ABILITIES

  • Previous experience working with payment hardware vendors, such as Verifone, Ingenico, and ID Tech is a plus, including estate management tools, such as Verifone’s VHQ.
  • Previous experience and knowledge of payment gateways, such as FreedomPay and Verifone Payware is a plus.
  • Experience working and negotiating with payment processors, such as Fiserv, FIS WorldPay, Elevon, etc is a plus.
  • Understanding and commanding of PCI standards and credit card tokenization and encryption processes required.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including experience in communicating complex technical terms to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to clearly document and capture business requirements and translate them into functional requirements and specifications.
  • Must have a broad understanding and technical knowledge of payment integration with POS and Web & Mobile solutions, and Mobile and cloud-based technologies (eg, Azure).
  • Experience and familiarity with payment instruments such as credit/debit cards and their rules and regulations, as well as credit card tokenization processes.
  • Must possess demonstrated ability and agility to adapt quickly to rapidly evolving and changing business priorities, along with delivering programs leveraging technology and innovation.
  • Possess a strong balance between technology and business expertise to drive superior business results in a complex payments environment.
  • Proven ownership, execution, and delivery accountability experience leading highly visible enterprise and line-of-business programs.
  • Track record of being client-focused, with the ability to interact with both internal and external clients seamlessly.
  • Experience working in a matrixed corporate environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments simultaneously in a complex and high-paced environment.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of process management.
