We are seeking a Student Well-Being and Success Specialist to develop and implement programs that support student well-being, conflict resolution, and school culture at King’s InterHigh USA. Reporting to the Head of Community Life, this role will focus on addressing student concerns, providing direct support, and promoting a safe and respectful learning environment. The Student Well-Being and Success Specialist will work closely with students, families, and staff to ensure clear communication, effective interventions, and proactive strategies that enhance student success.
This is a remote position, with the occasional need to travel to Washington, D.C. to engage directly with colleagues and foster strong professional relationships. Occasional travel domestically or abroad may also be required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Student Well-Being & Support
- Develop and oversee student well-being programs, ensuring students receive the support they need to succeed academically and personally.
- Provide direct guidance and intervention strategies to students navigating personal, academic, and social challenges.
- Implement restorative practices and conflict resolution approaches that foster accountability and improve student relationships.
- Lead efforts to promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful school environment, addressing issues such as bullying prevention and student safety.
Faculty & Staff Training
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions for faculty and staff on best practices for student support, well-being, and behavioral interventions.
Family & Community Engagement
- Act as a liaison between students, families, and school leadership, ensuring clear communication and alignment on student well-being efforts.
- Facilitate family-focused workshops and webinars on topics related to student well-being, conflict resolution, and academic success.
- Provide resources and support strategies to help families navigate student challenges and foster well-being at home.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Monitor and assess student needs, using data and direct feedback to refine interventions and programming.
- Serve as the designated safeguarding lead, upholding Inspired’s commitment to the welfare of children and young people through proactive policy, staff collaboration, and student-centered support.
- Actively engage with prospective and current families, fostering relationships to support student retention.
- Represent Inspired Online Schools at in-person and virtual events, promoting the school’s mission and values.
- Adapt to evolving needs of the school community and take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Master’s degree in school counseling, social work, psychology, education, or a related field (bachelor’s degree considered with extensive experience).
- State licensure or certification as a school counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or other mental health professional strongly preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in student well-being, counseling, or mental health support, preferably in an online or hybrid school setting, with expertise in child and adolescent development, behavior interventions, crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and restorative practices, using a culturally appreciative approach to support diverse student populations.
- Proven ability to develop and implement well-being initiatives, providing targeted support for students while equipping faculty and staff with strategies to foster a positive school culture.
- Experience leading workshops and training sessions for students, families, and educators, delivering impactful resources that support student success.
- Track record of shaping school-wide policies and initiatives that promote student safety, engagement, and retention.
- Data-driven approach to student support, using assessment tools and feedback to refine interventions and enhance program effectiveness.
- Ability to work independently while excelling in a hybrid remote/in-office team environment, maintaining proactive communication and collaboration.

- Willingness and ability to travel within the U.S. and abroad as needed.
