What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrician Journeyman position at Installation Services LLC?
We are a licensed Virginia contractor that performs projects for residential, commercial, and Federal government in the DC and surrounding areas in northern VA. We are currently looking for a full-time, experienced skilled Journeyman electrician with a minimum of 5 years’ professional trade experience. Candidates will be asked to complete a wide variety of tasks, including installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems. Candidates should be able to perform inspections and conduct assessments of electrical systems. Candidates should also be able to read blueprints and interpret them to determine the best way to resolve the problems in an electrical system. To accomplish all of this, candidates will need to have a deep familiarity with wiring, commonly used electrical tools, and various components. Applicants must be either a Journeyman or Master Electrician. Applicants must be able to pass a background check and have a clean driving record-no DUI's or Reckless.
Electrician’s Responsibilities:
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints
- Ability to use a variety of tools and techniques to repair and maintain electrical systems
- Have in-depth knowledge of electrical systems
- Ability to communicate with customers
- Knowledge of and the ability to follow all safety requirements and OSHA guidelines
