A Sneak Peek of Your Role đ This job, and the team at Instinct, is remote. The Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis (VP of FP&A) is responsible for driving the corporate budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes while partnering with senior leadership to provide actionable insights for business decision-making. This position requires a highly analytical mindset, strong business acumen, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure financial goals and strategic priorities are met. What Youâll Do đ±âđ» Build and manage a world-class team, through team design and recruiting, effective communication of organizational and team purpose and goals, and consistent role modeling, feedback, and coaching in support of Instinctâs cultural and professional goals and expectations.  Financial Planning & Analysis : Lead the preparation and coordination of the annual budget, monthly / quarterly forecasts, and long-term strategic plans for the organization. Ensure alignment with the companyâs strategic objectives and operational priorities. Business Partnering : Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that drive business performance and enhance operational decision-making. Reporting & Analytics : Develop and present comprehensive financial reporting packages for senior management, including variance analysis, key performance indicators (KPIs), and ad-hoc financial models. Work closely alongside accounting and finance teams to understand fluctuations from previous months, identify process improvements, and strive towards clear line of sight to accurate forecasting in future periods. Serve as owner of Workday Adaptive Planning. Develop executive-level analyses to be used by CFO and Board of Directors for monthly board meetings. Help prepare quarterly reporting packages for board members, investors and lenders. Analyze macro trends and growth drivers to enhance scalability and sustainability across all aspects of the business. Who You Are đ±âđ» 10 years preferred of progressive experience in finance, accounting or related fields, with a focus on team leadership. 5 years experience in Software as a Service (SaaS) companies in an FP&A role with preference to individuals with both subscription and usage based revenue experience. Strong knowledge of Accounting and Finance software, with preference to individuals with Sage Intacct and Adaptive Planning experience. Prior experience leading and managing teams. Expertise with Excel / Google Sheets How Instinct will Care about YOU đ We offer a supportive and caring work environment.
