Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in people's lives? Do you have a heart for offering comfort, reassurance, and hope to those who need it most? We are seeking dedicated individuals who are fluent in English and Spanish to join our team as a Support Specialist for older, Spanish speaking, adults.

In this role, you’ll be the lifeline for seniors, providing emotional support, crisis intervention, and abuse prevention over the phone. You’ll be the voice that brings comfort during times of loneliness, the ear that listens without judgment, and the guide that offers vital resources and referrals.

Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday 12:30pm-9:00pm

Pay: $21.69-$23.00/hour 4% Language Premium

Key Responsibilities:

• Be a Beacon of Support: Answer inbound and make outbound calls, offering a compassionate ear and timely assistance.
• Crisis Intervention & Suicide Risk Assessment: Act as a first responder for older adults in crisis, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Provide Vital Resources: Connect callers with the information and referrals they need to improve their quality of life.
• Real-Time Documentation: Accurately record caller information in our database, ensuring every detail is captured.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with our Friendship Line team, attending training, staff meetings, and receiving ongoing support.
• Volunteer Support: Assist and schedule volunteers, ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed.

What We’re Looking For:

• Required: Fluency in English and Spanish, with current or prior coursework in Human Services, Social Work, Gerontology, Psychology, Health Sciences, or a related field.
• Desired: A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in the above fields, with experience in hotlines, call centers, or working with senior adults.
