Dntel Tech, LLC is a Dental revenue cycle management company looking for experienced Dental/Medical verification individuals for the role of Verification of Benefits (VOB) Team Lead Specialist. Our Specialists have many years of experience and enjoy working in the Dental field. This position would be working fully remotely, overseeing Dntel verification teams, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), and communicating to meet client expectations. This role involves managing client accounts, overseeing new client onboarding, maintaining verification protocols, and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of benefits verification processes. Experience with multiple PMS (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, OpenDental, DSN, etc.) is preferred.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Team Management & Client Coordination: Supervise verification teams, ensuring adherence to SOPs.Standardize verification processes based on client preferences (e.g., verifying benefits one week in advance and rechecking two days prior). Oversee assigned teams and client accounts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Monitor and update SOPs as needed to optimize workflow. Conduct regular client communication to ensure satisfaction and adherence to expectations. Manually audit verifications performed by Dntel human or AI agents
Will assist with the new client onboarding and system access: Test and confirm access to client computers, ensuring 24/7 availability and proper software setup (e.g., Lightspeed software installation). Verify access to Practice Management Software (PMS) with appropriate user credentials and permissions. Create and manage Google Drive folders for onboarding materials and practice-specific information. Review and test payer portal access credentials provided by clients. Schedule and conduct new location orientation/kick-off meetings with assigned clients (record with notetaker). Determine the estimated volume of verifications per location to allocate Dntel specialists and resources appropriately. Scope, verify, and implement verifications SOP as defined by clients.
Ongoing Operations & Compliance: Ensure teams are following established verification protocols and meeting client expectations. Continuously monitor and clear verification requests in Dntel promptly. Track and report new provider additions and network participation status to the Head of Verifications. Regularly review and analyze daily reports to ensure accounts are managed proactively. Respond to client and internal team inquiries professionally and promptly. Arrange backup coverage during time off and coordinate with the Head of Verifications for leave approvals. Attend weekly virtual meetings with clients and monthly internal team meetings. Stay informed on coding changes, industry trends, and best practices to optimize verification accuracy and reimbursement. Maintain and update SOPs related to all responsibilities. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head of Verifications or Dntel.
Will attend monthly team meetings. Other duties may be included in job duties depending on the clients' needs, such as filing insurance claims, calling insurance carriers, or utilizing the insurance portals to work insurance AR, posting insurance payments, etc. Our Account Specialists may also work on patient accounts receivable. The individual will need to be comfortable with computers and should be able to learn software easily. Our Specialist may work with multiple practice software programs each day. When working remotely, basic computer knowledge is required.

Qualifications & Requirements: Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in insurance verification and dental benefits is required. Knowledge of medical and dental billing processes preferred.
Skills & Competencies: Strong communication and customer service skills.Proficiency with Slack, Gmail, and cloud-based communication tools. Experience with Practice Management Software (PMS) and clearinghouses.Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance.Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Google Suite.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Must have a laptop or a desktop computer, and be HIPAA compliant. Having a 2nd Monitor is a plus.
