2025 Summer Internship — Architectural Engineering Resiliency Intern
The Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) is seeking interns to join our team this summer. As an IBHS intern, you’ll contribute to our mission of strengthening homes, businesses, and communities against severe weather—which means making a difference in the lives of real people. Due to the expansion of the FORTIFIED Commercial & Multifamily programs, coupled with the increasing demand for commercial content from our members, the commercial team would greatly benefit from the support of an intern. The intern will assist in the daily operations of our FORTIFIED programs and help with the development of our member focused products.
What You’ll Learn
As a Architectural Engineering Resiliency Intern , you’ll get experience in supporting IBHS’s research including, but not limited to :
- Support daily operations of the IBHS resilient building construction standards and compliance program. Assist in developing training materials and maintaining quality control of evaluation services.
- Collaborate with the commercial engineering team to address architectural and engineering design challenges, focusing on enhancing resilience.
- Assist Commercial Programs Manager with commercial building and construction focused initiatives such as : operations and the engineering of the IBHS resilient building construction standards and compliance programs.
