ABOUT THE ROLE
Founded 4 decades ago and currently one of the largest privately held property & casualty AM Best "A" rated carriers in the United States. Focused on profitable growth through superior underwriting as well as providing an exceptional work culture for their ever-expanding team of highly talented staff.
They currently seek a hands-on leader of software, data, and IT infrastructure projects for an IT Project Manager role. These projects may include multi-year strategic projects, medium-sized system enhancements, ongoing support releases and other IT-related initiatives.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads project team to define project objectives, scope, deliverables, milestones, timelines and budgets. Manages project resources, including internal team members, contract workers, project tools.
Monitors and manages potential project risks and develops mitigation strategies.
Ensures processes are in place and operating effectively for testing and validation.
Tracks progress against milestones and budgets.
Oversees wrap up of projects by confirming that all deliverables were met.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Has held Scrum Master role on teams / projects and who can evangelize Agile and Scrum across the organization.
Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall Project Management methodologies.
Proficiency in understanding the Software Development Lifecycle, including proven ability to deliver projects from inception to delivery and support.
Proven ability to develop project artifacts.
2 years in the property and casualty insurance industry.
5 years of experience leading matrixed, cross-functional teams
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college / university in computer science or other relevant degree. 5 years of experience as an IT project manager within a technology or enterprise project management.
