About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a Material Distribution Technician for a dynamic role within a healthcare environment. This 3-month contract offers flexible hours, a potential extension, and contract-to-hire possibilities for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities:
- Cross-train and support the Receiving Dock team with incoming shipments and distributions
- Assist Inventory Coordinators when not assigned to receiving
- Utilize Geniss and a computerized Materials Management Information System (MMIS)
- Conduct physical inventory checks and replenishments in patient care and ancillary areas
- Receive and stock inventory items, and prepare outgoing freight and parcel shipments
- Process incoming supply requests via phone, fax, electronic order entry, and walk-ups
- Enter data accurately into MMIS to ensure inventory accountability
- Deliver stock, non-stock products, and packages to various departments
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in inventory systems, receiving, warehousing, or supply distribution using a computerized MMIS in a perpetual inventory system
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coursework or training in inventory and supply distribution management
- Prior experience in a healthcare or hospital environment
- Familiarity with material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks)
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $26.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
