Job Overview :
The Human Resources Specialist provides prompt, efficient, and courteous service to all team members. This role is responsible for HR systems administration, reviewing HR processes, and recommending improvements to enhance efficiency while maintaining top-tier customer service. The HR Specialist manages all contract team member documentation, collaborating with contract services and managers to process time, address employment issues, maintain records, and request contract workers as needed. Additionally, this position takes full ownership of post-offer processes for new hires, including communication with managers and coordination with HR team members to ensure proper documentation is completed.
Responsibilities :
- Collect and maintain HR data, including turnover, attendance, and volunteer service hours.
- Support HR initiatives and process improvements to streamline operations.
- Plan, coordinate, and assist with HR events and programs.
- Gain a solid understanding of the company's benefits program and health plans to assist team members with inquiries.
- Provide backup support for recruiting and hiring processes.
- Manage incoming mail and phone calls, ensuring efficient handling.
- Maintain professionalism, integrity, courtesy, and confidentiality in all interactions.
- Execute personnel functions such as recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, job description alignment, terminations, and exit interviews.
- Administer benefit programs, compensation packages, and inform employees about available benefits.
- Conduct reviews, audits, and updates for HR systems, including Oracle and related platforms.
- Exercise discretion and sound judgment in handling confidential information.
- Collaborate with temporary staffing agencies and department managers to ensure workforce needs are met.
- Perform general administrative HR duties, including filing, paperwork, job postings, candidate reviews, scheduling, and other office tasks.
