Location/Schedule:
175 Emery Highway, Macon, GA 31217
Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the HR department, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and managing correspondence.
Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Assist with the onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing new hire packets, conducting orientation sessions, and processing termination paperwork.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures in a timely and professional manner.
Help coordinate company events, training sessions, and employee engagement activities.
Support the recruitment process by posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
Prepare HR reports and presentations using collected data and metrics.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
Manage confidential files and records with the utmost discretion.
Assist with special HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
1-2 years of experience in an administrative or HR support role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Familiarity with HRIS systems and applicant tracking software is a plus.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
Basic knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement activities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
