What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Drafter - Design III position at inSync Staffing?
At least seven years of experience in the engineering drafting and design industry with at least five years of mechanical or electrical drafting experience using a CAD
system. Using CAD software - working with NX and Teamcenter is a plus. Training / coursework in GD&T is a plus. Using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Applies technical expertise, commensurate with training and minimal job experience, in the development of products and processes involving routine supervised application of proven, well-documented technology with low technical risk. Designs simple products or modifies existing products using experience and knowledge of product applications and company standards. Prepares product documentation working from example documents. Provides technical support to manufacturing, purchasing, marketing, vendors, and customers on routine technical matters of well-documented products. Recommends engineering actions to, and guidance and approval from, supervisor before proceeding on engineering projects. Prepares plans, generally spanning several months, necessary to complete assignments. Plans activities necessary to execute work assignments or simple projects within established schedules. Identifies assistance needed by other functional groups to complete engineering tasks. Assures that product documentation meets quality requirements. Participates in failure analysis review, discrepant material review, quality steering committees, product development reviews, design reviews, and peer reviews. Initiates routine engineering change authorizations. Is aware of regulatory requirements which affect design and manufacture of product.
