The client has an immediate need for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to be part of our Mission Critical / Data Center design team. The client has various data center design projects throughout the country and we are seeking an Electrical Project Engineer who has an in-depth understanding of the electrical engineering concepts and design practices that are found in state-of-the-art Tier III and Tier IV facilities. The position will be responsible for supporting key segments of major projects as well as leading the design effort on specific projects. Job Description
Job Summary
Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems with our Data Center group, with experience in the following areas:
- Protectively relay applications and appropriate relay settings for medium voltage power systems including parallel standby generators and utility-generator plant interconnection applications
- Power system analysis software for medium and low voltage power systems, for example, short circuit, arc flash & time current coordination studies
- Creating generator control sequences for specifications of large parallel standby generator plants, for example, load priority, load acquisition, utility-generator paralleling with soft load ramping
- Creating written technical specifications for medium voltage switchgear, standby generator equipment, uninterruptible power systems, low voltage draw-out switchgear, etc.
- Experience with field testing requirements for medium and low voltage power systems including factory witness testing, site acceptance testing, systems commissioning of critical power systems, for example, parallel generator plants, UPS systems, switchgear PLC controls, etc.
- Well rounded working knowledge of the NEC

Position Requirements Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from four-year college or university
- Minimum of five years of experience, including one year supervisory or combination of skills and experience necessary to lead a team of Engineers
- Registration as a Professional Engineer
- Full understanding of electrical systems for mission critical facilities
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
