The opportunity
We currently have an opportunity for an Investment Analyst to join our Investment Management team based in our Plymouth, MN office. This position reports to the Head of Fixed Income, the Investment Analyst will be a significant contributor to the US fixed income team. Intact is seeking an analyst to support our corporate bond portfolios working directly with portfolio managers and analysts. The position is responsible for analyzing investment grade and non-investment grade companies, providing analysis on fixed income markets, security analysis and risk management across our fixed income portfolios. Some of the Investment Analyst responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support the active management of U.S. fixed income portfolios
- Perform fundamental credit analysis, security valuation and portfolio positioning in conjunction with credit analysts and portfolio managers
- Performing independent and directed data analysis across a variety of areas including economics, asset classes, industries and individual companies
- Build and maintain financial statement models, credit screening tools and credit opinions
- Develop and maintain portfolio management, risk management and reporting tools
- Prepare materials for investment team and senior management
- Present to team, portfolio managers and senior management
The expertise you bring
- 0-3 years of relevant professional experience
- Passion for investments and are performance driven
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong conviction
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Team player, highly collaborative and strong work ethic
- High ethical standards
- Education: Bachelor's degree, CFA or a desire to obtain the CFA
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data management
- Preferred: experience with program language: VBA, SQL, Python
Our salary ranges are determined by many factors including location, role, experience, and skillset of the candidate. The following ranges displayed reflect the target base salary for new hires, but your recruiter will share more specific compensation information with you during the hiring process. The typical base salary range for this position is: $70,000 – $85,000, based on the factors aforementioned. In addition to base salary, full time Intact employees are also eligible for bonus potential and a full range of benefits to include but not limited to:
