MainStreet Advisors, an independent, Chicago-based Registered Investment Advisor seeks an analyst to support our investment team. With over $5 billion in assets under advisement, the company’s focus is providing investment advisory, client communication, and marketing support to community bank trust and wealth management departments throughout the country. Through our trust relationships, we help manage assets for large institutional clients, individuals, trusts, foundations, endowments, agencies, and retirement accounts.
As with all positions at MainStreet Advisors, the roles and responsibilities of this position will change as the company and investment industry evolve and the client's needs and requirements change. Currently, this position will involve a combination of analysis responsibilities, portfolio administration, and presentation coordination.
Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of the Head of Investments, conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis focused on the monitoring and evaluation of current and prospective investment options
- Contribute to the management of models in portfolio management platforms utilized to manage client portfolios
- Actively participate in the workflow, analysis, and discussions of the team’s investment committee structure
- Gather, organize, and analyze financial market data, economic data, and client portfolio data
- Proactively work to improve and recommend improvements to investment processes
- Coordination of client and prospect publications and presentations as needed
- Participate in the coordination and creation of written and graphical content for various investment publications
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, or a similar concentration
- Skills: Superior communication skills, both written and verbal; Strong attention to detail is required; Ability to work independently and with others; Strong organization and time-management skills
- Certifications: Working towards completion of the Chartered Financial Analyst curriculum preferred
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area preferred
- Computer/Technical: Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint; Experience with Bloomberg and Morningstar Direct software preferred
