The opportunity
We currently have an opportunity for a Software Developer I to join our Corporate IT team based in our Salem, VA; Boston, MA; Farmington CT office or remotely within the United States. This position is responsible for working with stakeholders, product owners, and agile team members to build, modify, and optimize applications using a low code / no code development platform. Some of the Software Developer I responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Contributes to discussions and in meetings with product owners and agile team members to understand business requirements.
- Actively engage in all phases of the system development life cycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of the company’s software solutions.
- Manage the experience and workflow layers of applications, leveraging no-code SaaS platforms while integrating with existing systems and APIs.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance to ensure seamless user experiences
- Create reusable components and modules to streamline development processes and maintain consistency across applications.
- Document development processes, application logic, and best practices in alignment with organizational standards.
- Contribute to the modernization of legacy systems by implementing innovative and efficient solutions
- Design, develop, and maintain solutions using the Unqork platform to deliver high-quality business applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Quality Assurance, to define technical requirements and build scalable workflows.
The expertise you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Degree from a Technical school or equivalent work experience.
- 1-3 years of related experience.
- Insurance or Financial Services industry experience preferred.
- Unqork experience preferred
- Proficiency in cloud platforms like Azure, with a focus on cloud-native solutions
Our salary ranges are determined by many factors including location, role, experience, and skillset of the candidate. The following ranges displayed reflect the target base salary for new hires, but your recruiter will share more specific compensation information with you during the hiring process. The typical base salary range for this position is: $65,000 – $91,000, based on the factors aforementioned. For candidates located in San Francisco, CA; Hoboken, NJ; and the New York City metro area, the base salary range is $82,000 -$95,000. In addition to base salary, full time Intact employees are also eligible for bonus potential and a full range of benefits to include but not limited to:
