Intact’s Global Specialty Lines business spans across more than 20 verticals in four distinct markets: U.S., Canada, UK and Europe. The following opportunity is for our U.S. team.

The opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for a Software Developer I to join our Corporate IT team based in our Salem CT; Canton, MA; Boston, MA or Farmington, CT office. Looking for a .NET full stack developer to work with stakeholders, product owners, and agile team members to build, modify, and optimize a low code / no code development platform. Some of the Software Developer I responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Design, develop, test and deploy full stack Web application using .Net frame works and related technologies.
• Build and maintain API’s and sever logic using .NET technologies
• Design and optimize relational database schemas and queries using SQL server or other data base systems.
• Implement 3^rd part API integrations and ensure seamless communication between various system components
• Create clean, maintainable, well documented code, following best practices and code standards
• Debug and resolve defects, application performance and other issues to ensure seamless user experiences
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Quality Assurance, to define technical requirements and build scalable workflows.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and contribute technology/process improvements.

The expertise you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Degree from a Technical school or equivalent work experience.
• 1-3 years of related experience.
• Insurance or Financial Services industry experience preferred.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms like Azure, with a focus on cloud-native solutions preferred.

Our salary ranges are determined by many factors including location, role, experience, and skillset of the candidate. The following ranges displayed reflect the target base salary for new hires, but your recruiter will share more specific compensation information with you during the hiring process. The typical base salary range for this position is: $65,000 – $91,000, based on the factors aforementioned. For candidates located in San Francisco, CA; Hoboken, NJ; and the New York City metro area, the base salary range is $82,000 -$95,000. In addition to base salary, full time Intact employees are also eligible for bonus potential and a full range of benefits to include but not limited to:
