SENIOR GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS SPECIALIST

Reston, VA 

Intact Technology is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Contracts Specialist to join our team. As a Senior Contracts Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our organization's commercial and government contract and subcontract management activities. Your expertise in writing, evaluating, negotiating and executing a wide variety of different contracts covering a range of transactions will be critical in ensuring successful contract outcomes and compliance with government regulations.

This position will be primarily onsite in our Reston Headquarters with the ability to work remotely 2-3 days a week once fully onboarded.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of different contracts covering a range of transactions commercial and government contracts and subcontracts.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and agency-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand contract requirements, scope of work, and pricing structures.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of contract documents to identify potential risks, ambiguities, and deviations from standard terms and conditions.
  • Coordinate and negotiate contract modifications, including changes to rates, terms, conditions, and scope of work.
  • Work closely with team members to ensure contract terms are accurate, legally binding, and protect the organization's interests.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to establish and negotiate rates, terms, and conditions for subcontracting agreements.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all contract-related activities, correspondence, and agreements.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal teams on contract interpretation, compliance, and adherence.
  • Stay updated on relevant government regulations, policies, and industry best practices related to government contract writing and negotiation.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, Legal Studies, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Federal Contracts Manager - CFCM) are a plus.
  • Proven experience working as a Contracts Specialist, Contract Administrator, or similar role with a focus on a variety of agreements and contract types.
  • Strong knowledge of government procurement regulations, including FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific guidelines.
  • Extensive experience in writing, negotiating, and managing contract and subcontracting agreements.
  • Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, the ability to build rapport and relationships, and the ability to collaborate with a broad and diverse population of internal and external team members
  • Superior time management skills and the ability to manage and drive multiple complex projects with overlapping or competing timeframes
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive and continuously deliver in a constantly changing, fast paced and team-oriented sales environment
  • Proven critical thinking and effective decision-making abilities
