Description: Maintenance Technician
Purpose: Maintain production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.
Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Adhere to required and defined safety policies and procedures.
- Verify and maintain good housekeeping procedures to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
- Maintain all internal and external facilities and equipment for proper operations and safety.
- Respond to requests, which are affecting the production operation.
- Maintain and purchase adequate inventory of required spare parts, materials, and equipment for preventative and corrective maintenance purposes.
- Implement all maintenance projects and machinery installations as assigned by Management.
- Obtain and maintain complete, proper and up-to-date documentation applicable to machine and facility service, maintenance and preventative maintenance.
- Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, and by listening for problems.
- Remove defective parts by dismantling devices.
- Provide mechanical maintenance by answering questions upon request.
- Support and adhere to required, documented and defined procedures and work instructions including, but not limited to: food safety programs, OSHA regulations and PPE as designated.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.
- Knowledge of PLC logic.
- Able to read schematics and blueprints.
- Capable and knowledgeable in 480v, 240v and transformed 24v power.
- Understand electrical panel and drive components.
- A/C and D/C motor knowledge.
- Understand gear trains, shafts/journals, pulleys, bushings and bearings.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fabricate and fix mechanical parts.
- Follow daily/weekly/monthly housekeeping procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of the occupational hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties.
- Multi-task under pressure, exhibit exceptional organizational skills and acute attention to detail.
- Customer service driven and focused.
- Participate in any requested or required training.
- Follow precise instructions.
- Self-starter with ambition to take on additional responsibilities.
- Advanced mechanical skills.
- Develop corrugated industry knowledge.
- Maintain flexible schedule to accommodate 24-hour operations.
- High school education or equivalent, previous maintenance experience required.
